Kelleher in canoe semis

IRELAND’S Maurice Kelleher won through to today’s semi-finals of the World Canoe Freestyle Championships in Australia.

After the first heat of the quarter finals, Kelleher led with 435 points. But the second heat saw the title favourites in action with Jay Kincaid (USA) breaking the 500 point mark. Kincaid won the quarter-final with 840 pts. Kelleher is fifth.
