DAVID COULTHARD has vowed he will continue taking the risks which today forced Mika Hakkinen into retirement to achieve his ''unfulfilled'' dream of being world champion.

Hakkinen has officially quit Formula One after a year-long sabbatical to consider his future because he was no longer prepared to put his life on the line.

With wife Erja and young son Hugo to consider, the two-time world champion decided he had reached the end of the road.
