Neptune aiming to take shine off Star

NEPTUNE’S failure to take advantage of SX3 Star’s crucial ESB Superleague slip in Tralee last weekend will act as a spur for the Cork side as the top two sides in the country go head-to-head on Sunday in Belfast.

"It was a glorious opportunity and we let it slip," coach Martin Aherne admitted, after his Neptune side went down at home to Killarney, 24 hours after Star's loss.

"Tralee did us a big favour on Saturday night but then we lost a game we needed to win to exploit the situation."
