Ralf Schumacher gave Williams bragging rights on the first full day of testing at Imola yesterday, outpacing brother Michael’s Ferrari F2004 by 0.054 of a second.

However, wet, snowy conditions hampered the running, making it difficult to truly judge the state of play. Ralf set his quickest time early in the morning, before the snow started falling.

By mid-afternoon the snow had turned into rain, and most teams sent their cars out to conduct some wet tyre testing.
