JUAN PABLO MONTOYA brought the curtain down on his four years with Williams in style as he won the season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos yesterday.

The Colombian, who joins rivals McLaren next season, took control of the race after the first set of pit stops and held off the advances of future team-mate Kimi Raikkonen to take the chequered flag.

The victory, by a one-second margin, was the first of the season for both Montoya and the team and was the driver’s fourth of his Formula One career, which began with Williams in 2001.
