O'Sullivan battles in to last four

RONNIE O’SULLIVAN produced four century breaks on his way to a 6-4 victory over the North’s Gerard Greene in the quarter-finals of the Irish Masters last.

O’Sullivan appeared to be cruising at 4-1, with breaks of 107 and 137 before his opponent pulled two frames back.

The world number one made it 5-3 with a 114, and despite Greene reducing the deficit once more, O'Sullivan wrapped things up with a 128 clearance.

O'Sullivan now faces Mark Williams after his 6-4 win over Stephen Lee.

Williams twice came from behind and Lee got two four-point snookers in the 10th frame before missing a tricky last brown to let Williams off the hook.

“Apart from a couple of shots I'm over the moon with how I played,” said a jubilant Williams.

The win contained back-to-back century breaks including a 2005 tournament best of 141 in frame three.
