Glock named

Jordan have named Timo Glock as their third driver, giving the young German a chance to test on the Friday of each grand prix.

Glock tested for Jordan earlier this year when the Silverstone-based team were still in negotiations over who would be their second race driver.

Giorgio Pantano was eventually named as Nick Heidfeld’s partner but Jordan have moved quickly to install Glock as their permanent test driver.

Glock, who competed in the Formula Three Euro Series last season, said: “I’m very happy and proud that I can be part of Jordan Ford with a place in Formula One for the 2004 season”.
