Sciath na Scol efforts are acknowledged

THE special efforts of Sciath na Scol Chorcaí in their Centenary Year were rewarded at the Roadstone Cumann na mBuncscol awards presented by An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern at The Berkeley Court Hotel, Dublin recently.

The Centenary Publication ‘An Dá Sciath’ was chosen as The County Publication of the Year, while The Football Initiative Award was won also by Cork for it’s hosting of London schools for a sporting and cultural weekend with a return trip to come.

Scoil Barra, Beaumont and Sunday’s Well schools were also prizewinners in The Urban School of the Year category.
