Schumacher defends his one-man show

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER has again rounded on the critics who say he has sapped Formula One of excitement and turned the sport into a boring showcase for himself and Ferrari.

It is not the first time the German has had to defend himself and his team, but ahead of Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix, the six-times world champion believes those who judge should look at the bigger picture.

Schumacher describes the season as “the best start we’ve had so far” and it could effectively be over by the end of next month, which would make the last six races virtually redundant.
