PEGASUS are fuming that the All-Ireland hockey play-offs have been moved to Cork from Dublin over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The decision was taken because the water-based pitch at UCD’s Belfield complex is undergoing a facelift.

But Pegasus argue that the series could have been staged at Grange Road in Rathfarnham. The Belfast club feel it’s unfair to ask teams from the north to make a round trip of almost 600 miles.
