In the opening beat they succeeded in coursing only two hares, the first course going up at 11.22. It was 1pm when that beat was concluded so they transferred to Clerihan for the second beat.

Here the first course (the third of the first round) was run off at 3.12 and but then their luck changed and thanks to a steady supply of hares they managed to finish the stake in semi-darkness at 5.25.
