Limerick to host swim championships

Swim Ireland, The Irish Water-polo Association, and The Irish Canoe Union are the governing bodies who will avail of the top-class facility, Ireland’s first Olympic sized pool.

The inaugural Dave McCullough Invitational Swim Meet, April 1-3, is the first event and will be followed by the Irish Senior Water-polo Cup from April 7-9.

The National Canoe Polo League will be played on April 23-24, while the Long Course National Swimming Championships take place from April 29 to May 1. This competition was due to be held in Dublin, but had to be relocated to the Limerick venue due to extensive roof damage at the NAC caused by the high winds of New Year’s Day.
