Briscoe in snub to Jordan

Ryan Briscoe has revealed he snubbed an opportunity to race in Formula 1 with Jordan in order to pursue a career in the US.

The New Zealander was yesterday unveiled as the Indy Racing League’s newest recruit after agreeing a deal with Target Chip Ganassi Racing.

But he admitted the move to the predominantly-oval IRL series came after he turned down the chance to race for Formula 1 strugglers Jordan.
