Marian bag first schools crown
Superb performances from captain Conor Meany, Stephen Brierley and MVP Ciaran Dunne proved too much for the Cork College who trailed 23-20 at half-time.
Aidan King and Jason Coughlan attempted to keep the Munster side in contention but baskets from Meany, Robbie Clarke, Brierley and Dunne secured the title for Marian.

NGASEE DITIMA collected the MVP as St Patrick’s Shannon collected the U19 ‘C’ All-Ireland title. Ditima and team captain Gavin Smith combined well in the early stages helping Shannon to a 38-20 interval lead.
Nathy’s Gavin Conway and team captain Joe Fleming battled hard but St Pat’s were forceful under the boards and led 50-36 going into the final stretch.
Gavin Conway and Michael Higgins made seven points in the opening minutes of the final quarter to bring Nathy’s within nine but it was too little, too late.

ARD Scoil Ris lifted their first Schools title since 1998 when their U16 team lifted the ‘B’ title in a 50-33 victory over Our Lady’s St Patricks.
