LIAM YOUNG of Bantry Rowing Club won the 33rd Cork Sculling Ladder, while his club-mate Alison Downey won the women’s event for the fifth successive year.

At a reception at Guinness House last night, Tom Kiernan presented the overall and section winners with their trophies.

The section winners were as follows: Men’s Open: Liam Young (Bantry RC); Women’s Open: Alison Downey (Bantry RC); Men’s Intermediate: Liam Young (Bantry RC); Women’s Intermediate: Sandra Wall (CITRC); Men’s Novice: Liam Young (Bantry RC); Women’s Novice: Linda Kennedy (Clonmel RC); Men’s Junior 18: David Meehan (Athlunkard BC); Women’s Junior 18: Linda Kennedy (Clonmel RC); Men’s Junior 16: Graham Sheehan (Pres. Coll. RC); Women’s Junior 16: Rebecca Healy (Clonmel RC); Men’s Junior 15: Mark Callanan (Pres. Coll.
