Rowing medal for Castletownshend

Cork’s Castletownshend captured a silver medal in the senior ladies final of the World Coastal Rowing Challenge at La Grande Motte, Montpellier, France.

The team of Catriona Lane, Mary McCarthy, Eileen Whooley, Lisa Cahalane and cox Declan Crowley were representing the Irish Coastal Rowing Federation.

The Bantry senior men’s team of Liam Young, Luke O’Donovan, Merlin Tanner, Michael Spillane and cox, Majella O’Mahony, finished fifth in a field of 27.
