Rheinisch aims to emulate Wiley

WORLD Cup gold medallist Eoin Rheinisch bids to emulate Ian Wiley’s title winning success from 1996 when he competes this weekend at the European Slalom Canoeing Championships at Tacin in Slovenia.

A top-class lineup includes all three Olympic medallists headed by Benoit Paschier and current title holder Julien Billaut, both of France. The Irish contingent in both the men’s and women’s kayak will have to be at their best to make the top ten qualifiers for Sunday’s finals.
