“But where do you stop?” asked a friend recently. He found it inexplicable that Allianz PLC were singled out for its indirect links to the genocide in Gaza when so many other companies had similar, if not stronger, ties.

“But where do you start?” was our reply. Few other firms have affixed themselves so tightly, woven themselves so deeply, into the fabric of a volunteer-led sports organisation that if there is morally questionable behaviour on their part then it must be questioned. And then questioned again.
