Ruby Walsh: Anyway tailor-made to land perfectly-timed Kerry National

Of the six runners in the Kerry National who also contested the Galway Plate this summer, Anyway departed too early to make a call on, but I wouldn’t lose faith in him yet.

Day four on the Island racetrack - which, as far as I can tell, is not an Island but merely referred to as one - is undoubtedly the feature race day in the county of Kerry.

It has history, carries pride, and is certainly not an afterthought nor a consolation for a missed target elsewhere because the Kerry National fits perfectly into the calendar and must be targeted if you are going to win it.
