Cathal Dennehy: Grand Slam Track made big promises but now looks a busted flush

In the land of opportunity, it’s sometimes necessary to fake it ’til you make it. The US is, after all, a country where calling your shot is admired, encouraged, where folk don’t worry so much about the first part of that line by poet Erin Hanson – What if I fall? – and focus instead on the follow-up: What if you fly?

But there is one issue with that, and it emerges when others have seen through the bluster and bravado and demand you to back up your words with actions.
