As Kerry emerged from their dressing room on Sunday evening, journalists huddled around a phone outside to watch live footage of the All-Ireland semi-final draw taking place a short skip away.

David Clifford was walking past when it was confirmed Tyrone would be Kerry’s opponents. “Tyrone?” he asked before nodding and looking straight in front of him as if he was beginning to contemplate the challenge they would present.
