There's a lot to be said for stealing a piece of a sunny Thursday afternoon and spending it on a fairway. I’ve never been accused of being a natural with a club in my hands. But over nine holes, I hit a few really nice ones. And that’s all you need — the little reminders of how good it feels to be good.

Below in Bordeaux last weekend I found myself, for the first time in a long time, able to lean back an extra inch in my chair. Just for a minute or two. Why? Because the boys were serving up little reminders.
