Sometimes athletes need someone who’s willing to be cruel to be kind, to tell them what they need to hear: That enough is truly enough.

IT TOOK about two years, said Usain Bolt, before the novelty of retirement wore off, before the greatest sprinter in history was sitting back, watching major championships, and again feeling the itch.
