Some weeks, it’s hard to know where to start. We’ve solved many problems on this page, over the years. But occasionally there is a sobering reminder that we will probably forever travel around in circles. Such as when we hear from a GAA annual report that we must be concerned about paying managers, about the state of Gaelic football, and that it might be time to discuss opening playing fields to other pursuits such as soccer. Has there been any point, this century, when we haven’t mulled over all these matters? And will there be any point, for the rest of this century?
