David Murphy magic secures Munster title
Murphy looked rusty early on, but once he settled he produced the silken bowling that makes him special. Daly took the challenge to him and looked set to open up an unassailable lead in the first-quarter. It all changed when Daly left the smallest opening, with a poor shot from Kelleher’s. Murphy swooped with a brilliant bowl and there was no way back.
Daly opened with a great bowl to the top of the rise. Murphy’s first went left and missed that by 30m. His second was right and just made ‘peeping sight’ facing Bantry’s cross.
