Michael Bohane meets Raymond Ryan in Munster decider

Michael Bohane will play Raymond Ryan in next Sunday’s Munster Intermediate final at Lyre.

Bohane led all the way to beat Nicholas Carey in the last shot at Bweeng on Monday. He opened with a big bowl to light, while Carey missed. Carey got a good second, but Bohane increased his lead with another big shot towards the next bend. He raised the bowl with his next but he made a mistake at the tinny shed to leave less than a bowl between them.

Bohane’s bowl to the concrete went right, but Carey missed it to concede the bowl again. Carey brought the lead under a bowl after two more to the start of the straight. Bohane then got a huge bowl, but Carey beat it by 30m. Carey held off the bowl to the cross and was back in the frame after a great second last to the forestry. Bohane’s reply looked to be falling short, but it got a little touch and beat it by 33m.
