Catriona O’Farrell holds off Emma Fitzpatrick to advance to Munster final

She beat Fitzpatrick’s opening bowl to the church cross. She got a great second to Desmond’s to go 60m clear. She raised a bowl between there and Slyne’s corner. Fitzpatrick knocked the bowl at O’Riordan’s, but O’Farrell pushed clear again to the schoolhouse cross.

Fitzpatrick fought back strongly to Buttimer’s and looked to be getting back into it after a great shot towards the monument. O’Farrell quenched that hope with a scintillating last bowl past the line. In the final she will play either Carmel Ryan or Louise Collins who meet in the other semi-final.
