Mullins sees off Daly and Creedon to claim glory in Noel Phair Cup final

Daly showed the best early form. He won the first tip by 30m and kept his lead by beating a good second from Mullins to McSweeney’s. Creedon got a brilliant third shot, which put him ahead of Mullins, but Daly beat his tip by 25m. Daly won the next tip by 50m, with Mullins now back in second place.

Daly built on that lead with four more good shots to Desmond’s cross where he was almost a bowl clear of Mullins and Creedon. Mullins led for the first time after two great bowls from there to Kingston’s. He was 15m fore of Daly, with Creedon still a bowl behind. Daly regained the lead despite a poor shot from there.
