The weather continues to dominate the greyhound headlines and it was a blank countrywide last night with both Shelbourne and Kilkenny called off due to safety reasons.

Despite the bad overnight forecast, some tracks remain hopeful that racing can resume from tonight onwards.

Shelbourne GM Patrick Flynn is confident that tonight’s meeting can go ahead and an early morning decision will be made. Inspections are also planned at Curraheen and Limerick while the Galway, Mullingar and Enniscorthy meetings were called off yesterday.
