Barefoot Bullet cuts Timber rivals down to size

THERE’S just over three weeks to the start of the 2010 Ladbrokes.com Derby and a number of potential challengers flexed their muscles at Shelbourne Park on Saturday, although few impressed quite like Barefoot Bullet and Farley Blitz as they took the two feature races.

Paul Hennessy’s Barefoot Bullet had impressed in the semi final of the ECC Timber Open 525, but his victory in Saturday’s decider was even more emphatic as he posted a wonderful 28.44.

The contest had been reduced to five runners in the absence of Fatboyz Tyson, who runs at Dundalk tonight, and this certainly worked in favour of the favourite.
