Spencer to step down as General Manager at Waterford
The IGB statement issued yesterday says: Having worked in hotel management prior to joining the Irish Greyhound Board, Anthony has taken the decision in order to pursue other business interests.
During his time in charge at the popular Waterford venue, he successfully oversaw the redevelopment of the stadium and upgrading of its facilities to provide a first class sporting and entertainment venue for the people of the city.
There will be a live programme on Setanta Ireland this evening featuring the final of Ireland’s staying classic, the Accelerated Drain Cleaning Corn Cuchulainn from Harold’s Cross.
The programme will go out between 9 and 10 p.m. and will be repeated regularly every day up to next Wednesday.
The betting is very much between Corporate Attack and Hello Hippy and they could well end up as joint favourites. The Sean Mulcahy owned Corporate Attack is unbeaten over six bends and has the early pace and stamina to set his rivals quite a test.
Hello Hippy is probably the strongest stayer in training and she will be going fastest of all from the three quarter mark. But if Corporate Attack can make a typically smart start then he might build up a winning lead. The programme will also include two other live races, plus a recorded race as well as a recording of the Kerry Agribusiness Irish St Leger which was run at Limerick.
Corn Cuchulainn Final: Cashmans bet - 5/4 Corporate Attack, 13/8 Hello Hippy, 7 Rathanny Billy, 12 Dundooan Diva, 14 Navan Blue, 14 Freddy Mac
