Angry Fans

OUR football correspondent LIAM MACKEY is back in top form and full of energy. He casts his eye over your comments and gives his own critical analysis of the goings on throughout the world of football.

You may agree with him or then again you may not. This week Sol Campbell on racists; IFA should be kicked out of football; Local soccer players to be fined for yellow and red offences; England’s booing fans adoping Italian approach; Rooney’s barber; Reward for Ashley; Will teams be able to afford to travel to South Africa; UEFA on banning clubs with huge debt; Camorra affect on football; Biggest miss of all time; Lord Triesman is a fat cat.

The letter of the week goes to Mike from Cork. Get in touch with your postal address and our glittering prize will be in the post to you before you can say Little Fellows

I REALLY must vent my frustration at the ongoing bullcrap about poor old Sol Campbell, As Spurs fans, we have nothing but our voices to vent our disgust at this despicable piece of garbage, and therefore in any game he's playing, I hope we let him have it each and every time. However, this does not make Spurs fans racist, it makes us remind him of what a traitorous pr*** he is. Apparently he got upset by it. Well Sol, tough, you should have thought about that before you signed for the scum for nothing after telling us lies about how you were going to sign a new contract. If Steve Gerrard joined Man Utd for nothing he’d be most certainly found hanging out of a tree. At least we have the decency to keep it to the verbals. Get over it.

Patrick Keating, Limerick, by email

OUR SHOUT: I was struggling to think of something that would sum up this letter and then I realised that Patrick had done it for me. "A despicable piece of garbage." Yes, that'll do nicely.

The rest of this week’s Angry Fans column is in today’s Irish Examiner newspaper and will appear here tomorrow.
