Angry Fans

The Examiner’s football correspondent Liam Mackey likes a good argument when he hears it, and he’s got strong views of his own.

Today, and every Tuesday, he will be acting as referee on your opinions on the Premiership. Let him know what you think and he’ll argue the toss with you. We’ll be offering a free sports prize to the star contribution each week. This week Fergie ungracious; Queiroz on removing bad referees; Eduardo/Taylor and FIFA; Dull FA Cup final in May; Grant is a genius; Essien’s loss of form; Winging Wenger on Latics pitch; Great work by the FAI; RTÉ get match options wrong; Fabregas wage rise; Newcastle’s relegation fight

Letter of the week goes to J Delaney, Abbottstown for his letter on the Boys in Green. Let us have that address and our glittering prize will be on its way to you.

BRAVO Sir Alex. You have seen off many pretenders to your throne (Mourinho, Moyes, even Warnock). You have faced severe pressure in particular from Wenger, who only recently looked like he may have claimed your crown for himself. But then, crucially, he faltered by retracting his damning comments on Taylor. And thus last Saturday you once again displayed in regal fashion that you are truly, past, present and probably future, the most unsporting, ungracious, whinging sour-faced moaner in the history of the game. All credit to you.

ABU forever. By email
