IF ever arrested and charged with being a travel agent, I’d undoubtedly be found innocent on all counts. Flight time from Paris to Cape Town is circa 12 hours but we turned it into 27 hours ahead of Saturday’s Champions Cup examination against the Stormers.

Or rather I did. No excuses. The alternative got us direct from Paris to South Africa but came with a dealbreaker – the La Rochelle squad would have to be split up between different flights. Not happening.
