In an ideal world – and I know that’s easy to say – but I think it would suit everybody if the All-Ireland club hurling final was being staged tomorrow. And I say that with the players more in mind than the supporters.

Players could switch off and enjoy their Christmas. The winners would have the best festive season ever while the losers could at least appease themselves with having got to the final.
