John Fogarty: So long as counties work in silos, spending will go up

Tipperary's spending on inter-county teams in 2025 is expected to be more than their 2024 figure of €2.175m while Cork managed to decrease their spending by €178,000. Pic: Piaras Ó Mídheach/Sportsfile

Early indications suggest inter-county team spending by Munster counties in 2025 could breach €12 million.

Consolidated accounts show the six counties’ aggregate expenditure on teams once more hit eight figures, having exceeded €11m last year and reaching €10.774m in 2023.
