David Clifford wheeled away in front of the lower Hogan Stand near the Davin corner and pumped his fist in a signal of defiance and dominance. Kerry had already scored 0-27. And the game still hadn’t entered the fourth quarter. Incredible.

Kerry had breached the 0-30 mark by the 57th minute when Clifford landed another 2-pointer. Kerry only added another 0-2 for the remainder of the game, but the damage had been done by then and they were able to retreat into more of a defensive mode as Armagh had to go looking for goals.
