I had a late night on Saturday, a very late night, but a great night. I was in the Garryvoe hotel, looking out onto Ballycotton and its lighthouse, as we were privileged to be there for the presentation of the Cork county medals to the Imokilly hurlers.

It was a really enjoyable experience, having been invited with my Irish Examiner podcast buddies, TJ Ryan and Mark Landers, but I had to cut the night shorter than I would have liked. I had to be in Dublin yesterday to watch the games for ‘Allianz League Sunday’ so I hit for Dublin after midnight.
