Before I mention the couple of decisions that went Mayo’s way in the closing stages in Dr Hyde Park, Martin McNally deserves credit for his general performance.

It was a good outing for the Monaghan man. It was relatively stress-free and the majority of big calls were the right calls. However, Mayo shouldn’t have been awarded their equalising 45 in the final minute of normal time.
