To put into context how much last year’s record Allianz Leagues gate receipts were worth to the GAA, the estimated €7 million takings were more than the organisation accrued in total sponsorship revenue at national level in 2022.

The forthcoming annual financial report will confirm over two-thirds of the ticket money came from the football competition, which is approximately the same as what the four provinces combined earned in gate receipts from their football championships.
