As statements go, Down’s defence of their support for would-have-been, should-have-been football final referee on Sunday Paul Faloon was washy at best.
In an attempt to pull the curtain across an incredibly sorry scene, they only served to trip on it and rip it. Their opportunity to explain what actually happened left more questions about themselves than answers.
