Charlie Smyth's remarkable journey from Down goalkeeper to NFL kicker is set to be completed after the 24-year-old was elevated to the active roster to make his New Orleans regular season debut.

After Saturday evening's roster moves, it is clear that Smyth was victorious over fellow contender, veteran Cade York.
