Retirees rue not starting to save earlier

The research suggests that financial literacy is a problem with three in ten pension holders admitting that they didn’t recognise the importance of early contributions

Overall, one in five Irish adults say they don’t have a pension at all, with women more likely than men not to have one.

Almost half of pension holders wish they had started their pension earlier, while about one in five wish they had paid more into their pension sooner.
