GPA chief executive Tom Parsons has promised to tackle an uneven fixture schedule at their AGM last week.

The players’ representative body called on the GAA to create “a sufficient gap” between league and championship competitions in order to tackle the condensed season. The GPA have asked the powers that be to scrap the pre-season competitions that are held in January. In his annual report that was released last Tuesday, Parsons also called on the LGFA and Camogie Associations to recognise the GPA on all matters and accused them of “only selectively recognising" the GPA as the representative body when it suits their needs.
