THERE has been considerable change around Glanmire’s Marwood development in the two decades since it was built by O’Flynn Construction.

With the stroke of a pen, it “moved” into the city in 2019, after Cork City’s first boundary extension in 50 years. Infrastructural changes are notable too. While the Glanmire bypass was already there, it took another few years before the dual carriageway was upgraded to the M8 motorway — which skirts the eastern boundary of the Marwood scheme. More recently, the Dunkettle interchange underwent significant upgrades, speeding up access in all directions. The upshot is that Marwood is much better connected these days — useful for house hunters who face daily commutes.

A 9 5sq m semi-d, it’s been a rental for a few years, but is in good condition, according to Sherry FitzGerald selling agent Paul Fenton. “It needs some modernisastion, but it’s in good shape,” he says, adding that it has “a massive garden”.
