Bord Bia Bloom’s landmark 20th year is underway this weekend at the Phoenix Park, Dublin. The overall medium garden category award was presented to The ‘Future in Mind’ garden, sponsored by the Mental Health Commission and designed by Joe Eustace.
Bord Bia Bloom’s landmark 20th year is underway this weekend at the Phoenix Park, Dublin. With 20 spectacular show gardens from top Irish and international garden designers, 14 postcard gardens,17 plant nurseries and floral artists, two brand-new horticulture and gardening features, 35 interactive talks and demos on the garden stage and much more, Bord Bia Bloom takes place until Monday, June 1, from 9am-6pm each day. Fermoy Flower and Garden club will host Eilish Fitzgerald, Aoifa, to give a demonstration entitled “Glorious Summer” on June 2 at the Adair Hall at 8pm. All welcome. Visitors, €10.
Carrigtwohill Flower and Garden Club will host Verd to present on “Seasonal Container Gardening” on June 2 at 8pm at Carrigtwohill Community Centre. Sales table on the night. All welcome.
Cobh Flower and Horticulture Club will hold its next meeting on June 8 in Cobh (Great Island) Community Centre, P24WP82. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm sharp start. A floral demonstration will be given by Tricia Murphy entitled “Summer Joy”. Visitors welcome. Admission, €10.
Youghal Flower & Garden Club hosts its annual garden outing at 10am on June 13, to Margaret Naughton’s gardens, followed by dinner at The Elm Tree. Visitors welcome.
Cork Flower Club is looking forward to welcoming Mary Keogh on June 16, at Douglas GAA Club, T12N2TH. The title of her demonstration is “Summertime”. Visitors welcome, €5. Refreshments will be served.
Ladysbridge and District Flower and Garden Club hosts its summer lunch at Ballymaloe House on June 17 at 10am. Members only.
