The Lough Flower and Garden Club will hold a flower-arranging work night on May 26. Enjoy the teaching demonstration, get answers to any queries and avail of the opportunity to improve your skills all in a fun atmosphere. The event takes place at the SMA Parish Centre, Wilton (opposite CUH), at 7.30pm. Visitors are very welcome. Admission, €10; members, €5. Refreshments included.
Glenville Flower & Garden Club hosts Magda from Tirlan Garden Centre, Castlelyons Branch, who will give a talk on plants and will have plants for sale, at the Holy Family Centre on May 26 at 8pm. Raffle and refreshments.
Clonakilty Flower Club will host a charity gala demonstration with Steve McDonnell, NAFAS, on May 26 at 7.30pm at the GAA pavilion, Ahamilla, Clonakilty. Raffle and refreshments. Visitors welcome, €20. Find the club on Facebook.
Cork Alpine Hardy Plant Society will host a talk by Millie Souter, head gardener at The Plant Library, Tom Stuart Smith Studio, in Hertfordshire, on May 28 at 8pm. Millie will deliver a lecture entitled “Introduction to the Plant Library and growing in sand”. There will be a members’ plant sale. The event will take place at Scoil Mhuire Naofa, Station Road, Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, T45PF80. Visitors, €10.

Cobh Flower and Horticulture Club will hold its next meeting on June 8 in Cobh (Great Island) Community Centre, P24 WP82. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm sharp start. A floral demonstration will be given by Tricia Murphy entitled “Summer Joy”. Visitors welcome. Admission €10.
Youghal Flower & Garden Club hosts its annual garden outing at 10am on June 13, to Margaret Naughton’s gardens, followed by dinner at The Elm Tree. Visitors welcome.
Ladysbridge and District Flower and Garden Club hosts its summer lunch at Ballymaloe House on June 17 at 10am. Members only.
