The author of some of the most deliciously dark novels on the bestseller lists adores her place in the sun.

We’re not talking Barcelona, Nice or Milan. Even though Catherine Ryan Howard’s book tours whisk her across the globe, it’s the private outdoor living space at her apartment in Dundrum, Dublin, that brings her joy. “On a sunny day, throwing the balcony door open brings the outside in, and the end of the couch closest to it is a great spot to sit and read or have a coffee and gaze out the window,” says Catherine.
