Barbecues: Three top small outdoor cooking appliances
Big Green Egg, left, Rawsaol fire pit, top right, Everdure Cube, below right.
I talk about barbecues a lot for someone who doesn’t have one. You see my garden is so tiny that I can’t justify getting one when my kitchen oven is three feet away. But I love them, and I want one, so I do the only thing I can do which is to extensively browse online and in garden shops, and to show up at every outdoor cooking event I get invited to (or invite myself to). Which, this summer, hasn’t been many.Â
Maybe we’ll have a spectacular August? Here’s hoping. Needing somewhere to channel my desires while I resist purchasing, I’ve compiled a list of the outdoor cooking appliances I would buy, should I ever throw caution to the wind. These are BBQs, outdoor ovens, pizza ovens, fire pits, and chimineas that I have seen, coveted, and scoured reviews about over the past few years.Â
