Wish List: Stunning sculptures to see in Cork this summer

Esther N McCarthy visits the Victorian Gardens at The Montenotte Hotel to check out the summer sculpture exhibition

This spectacular exhibition features a collection of 47 pieces of contemporary designs from Irish sculptors. 

Now in its fourth year, the exhibition is curated and installed by Ruth Liddle and Ken Folan of the Kildare Gallery.

The display is open daily from 10am in the grounds of the hotel until August 28.  

Artist Eyelet Lalor with her work entitled Queen. It's acrylic resin and steel mixed resin, €2,800.

Sculptor Clodagh Redden with her bronze work, Dance of the Flyers, €3,800, at the launch of the annual outdoor sculpture exhibition at The Montenotte Hotel. 

This bronze piece is called Gus & Ted by Dawn Conn, €5,750.

Queen Arctic Fox is stoneware by artist Merce Canadell, €1,900.

Fidelma Massey's A Shrine for the Mother of Birds in bronze, €8000. 

The wonderfully titled Lady La Di Da in a bronze sculpture by Mike Duhan, €10,000.

This piece is called On Top of the World by Liam Butler, in copper and Kilkenny limestone, €1,500.
